"Two Minutes Germany" consists of a 890 x 20 cm photo strip and a video. The video shows a two minute scene filmed out of a moving Intercity Express train somewhere in Germany. All 1800 individual images of the film sequence were extracted, joined together and blended at their overlapping areas. The permanent shift of the perspective causes a multiple exposure effect. Some objects (for example some houses and cars) were copied only from a single image of the video which makes them appear sharper. This strategy emulates actual vision as it gets caught by objects that attract attention and permanently compensates the permanently changing viewpoint.
